When We Danced With Angels

Estefany works at a military base only a few miles away from where she grew up. Her home was once a sleepy town on Guatemala’s northern frontier. However, it has become a centerpiece in the nation’s years-long civil war, making the bloody conflict an inescapable reality for those living there. But hope remains as Estefany and her friends, who also work on the base, seek beauty amid the violence, cling to the dreams they once had, and plan for the life that awaits them after the fighting stops.
