Filomena “Mena” Castriciano has been the owner of Roma Bakery since 1969, serving the Lansing, Michigan, community with an abundance of authentic Italian dishes. She learned to cook from her mother and father in Italy starting at a very young age, and it gives Mena great joy to share her love of cooking with others. This cookbook is the culmination of Mena’s dream to share her love of food with her love for people. Cooking with Mena is a collection of Mena’s favorite home-style Italian cooking with additional international recipes selected from the customers of Roma Bakery and Mena’s travels in southern Italy and Sicily.
