I know how you feel because I’m a Physical Therapist that lost my love for the profession but… I was able to get it back. For me, the path that got me back to loving being a Physical Therapist again was starting a cash practice. This wasn’t part of my grand plan…in fact, I thought I would be a career Physical Therapist in the Army. As I progressed through my early career, I felt firsthand what it’s like to drown in documentation and be swamped with patients. I questioned if I had made a mistake and if I wanted to continue in my chosen career field. The worst part was the burnout. I would come home after work and be so tired, I would fall asleep on the couch while my kids played on the ground in front of me. I had nothing left in the tank for them. I was exhausted. Not by the volume of work but by my lack of satisfaction with my current career. All that changed in 2014 when I made the difficult decision to get out of the Army and start my own cash practice. Over the last 9 years, I’ve been able to grow my practice to the largest all-cash PT clinic in Georgia. That practice has created both time and financial freedom for me and my family. This isn’t the direction I thought I would go when I was commissioned as an Officer in the Army in 2007. I’m a reluctant entrepreneur but thankful that my life took this very different path. This book is the book I wish existed when I started my practice. I wish someone would have taught me how to sell. I wish someone would have taught me how to market. I wish someone would have told me what skills I needed at different stages of business. I wish someone would have taught me how to build a great business. I have made more mistakes than I can remember. I know now that all my mistakes and pain, have allowed me to write this book for you. Think of this book as a field manual.
