This is the story of my life, a memoir devotional. This is my testimony. I feel sharing our testimonies is important because we find our ministries where we have been broken. We find our testimonies where we have been restored. My story is one of a fractured life because of violence and abuse. This is a story of multiple hearts deeply wounded beyond human repair. But this is also a story of resilience and hope, a story where God’s presence was tangible, and His whispers were heard in the darkest of nights. This story reminds us that we are not alone in this universe and have a Creator—a Heavenly Father who loves us beyond words. My story, which is really His story, is not easy to tell, but I believe it holds great importance because it shows how God truly works in hard circumstances many can relate to. My story brings hope because it bears witness to the power of love and healing miracles. God does not waste our pain, and He did not waste my pain. My pain became His platform, and I believe many need to hear about the power of His grace—for there is nothing too big for God. I also think many need to remember our past experiences do not define us, and they certainly do not determine our futures. Our identity comes from Christ Jesus, and He has a beautiful plan and purpose for each of us beyond our wildest imagination. My story begins with brokenness and loss, sorrow, and grief. But the greater message is the one of restoration, redemption, and return. My life is a picture of Kintsugi. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with liquid gold, platinum, or silver. In this practice, the broken piece is not made new, rather, its repair makes it even greater than new. Kintsugi shows us brokenness does not mean something is rendered useless and deserves to be thrown away. But rather, brokenness needs a potter’s hand to mend and repair that which he loves. God is my Potter, and I am His clay. His love and beautiful grace brought about the miraculous in my life and made my scars beautiful. I now wear my scars with honor because love came down and rescued me. God poured out His liquid grace into the broken areas of my life and gracefully mended me into an even more beautiful vessel. My prayer is that in sharing my story, others will be encouraged that forgiveness, healing, and restoration are possible for them too. I have prayed specifically over you too, every person who reads this memoir devotion.I asked God to do what only He can do as you read the testimony of my life so that you, too, can experience the impossible! I pray His powerful love will transform you, and you will step into your full potential as the men and women God destined you to be. The enemy has lied to you long enough, and it is time to take back everythinghe has stolen from you!
